Advocacy at the Charitable Healthcare Network

The Charitable Healthcare Network advocates strongly on behalf of our member clinics. Meeting regularly with our state legislators, keeping them updated on the impact of what free and charitable clinics are doing in their communities, and setting up site visits for legislators and clinics in their districts. Our annual Legislative Health Fair brings clinics representatives from across Ohio to the Statehouse to show the legislator what they do, provide health screenings, and network with other Ohio clinics. In Ohio's biannual budget for fiscal years 2020 and 2021, our advocacy efforts successfully increased our line item from $362,326 to $1.5 million for free and charitable clinics.
